Banana Picking

There is a small island containing a banana plantation a short way from Lumbridge, the starter town. On that island you can complete a quest that allows you to collect some bananas and pays 30gp. The cool thing is that not only is this quest repeatable but you can do it really quickly. You can easily rack up 1000gp per hour doing this!

From Lumbridge, head to Port Sarim. Here is a map that shows the route:

If you don’t have 30gp then on your way through the forest kill some of the level 2 goblins. These are easy kills and drop money so you’ll only need to kill a handful of them.

Once at Port Sarim, look for a sailor dressed in blue who is standing at the dock. Speak to him and he’ll take you to the Island or Karjama for 30gp. Pay the fee and arrive on the island.

In front of the dock is a small house and inside there is the quest giver called Luthas. This is a map of the island:

Speak to Luthas to be offered the banana picking job:

All you need to do is run up the path to the banana plantation and pick 10 bananas and then run back to the front of the house, right click on the crate and select ‘fill’. Then go back to Luthas to get your money. Speak to him again to repeat the quest.

Make Money Faster!

You need 10 bananas to fill the crate but you have 28 inventory slots. Collect as many bananas as you can and if you get at least 20 you’ll save a ton of time as you’ll only have to run back and forth between the house and the banana plantation half as many times!
